Easter

What a wonderful Easter!
Even though it's still cold, Claire wore an Easter dress nonetheless, she just wore it with a long sleeve onesie and leg warmers.  You do what you gotta do, but I refused to have my little girl wear fleece on Easter!
We made it through church outburst-free literally by the grace of God - and Dad's magical bouncing techniques (who has a 40 minute homily on Easter when half the congregation has kids and it's standing room only?!?!) Then it was off to Johnny and Laura's for a wonderful Easter brunch and egg hunt.  The sun was shining and while it was chilly, all the cousins had a blast searching for the eggs.  Congratualtions to Bodie on finding the illustrious golden egg.  Claire made a brief appearance at the festivities when I made her pose for a picture with all her cousins (in which she is screaming bloody murder) and then she passed out for the rest of the morning... and into the afternoon.

 Sleepy-head

NY folks, can you believe all the snow on Easter?!?!  I still can't get used to it.

Three Months Old

For whatever reason, this was our hardest photo shoot to date. (See the proof below).

Things are going well at Casa Turner.  Claire continues to grow - 8 lbs 12 oz at last check - and change every day.  She is getting very talkative now, sometimes we can't even get a word in edgewise!  She smiles all the time and I think I heard a giggle the other morning.

Sadly, Mommy returns to work on May 3rd, but the good news is Claire will get to spend 2 weeks with Daddy and then her nanny, Rebecca, gets here on May 15th.

 "Look where?"

 "Huh?  I'm still confused."

"Oh, there you are."

"I'm smiling, but you can't see it. Na na na na na."

"Fine, I'll move my hand, but the smile is disappearing."

"This is my peanut pose."

"I'm really not very comfortable."

"Bored."

"Alright, let's get this done already!"

Random - But Fun - Pictures

Below are an array of random pictures that I found when going through my computer the other day.  They were too cute to be left out off the blog, so I thought I would share.

 Claire and Cousin Lucy

On a rare sunny day this winter, Mommy and Claire were going stir crazy from being trapped inside with the roads still too snowy to stroller (yes, I turned stroller into a verb), so we got dressed in our winter wear and Mommy carried Claire around outside.
All dressed up in her snowsuit.

 Shaking hands

Look how little!

Claire Goes to San Diego

To save Mommy's sanity - and to show Claire there is a world outside of our house and the doctor's office - we traveled to San Diego to spend some time on the beach, enjoy the sunshine, and hang out with Bma and Grandpa.  We were blessed with gorgeous weather and high temperatures, Mommy even got in a little shopping with Bma (all I can say thank goodness there isn't a Baby Gap in Jackson or we would be bankrupt).  Claire seemed determined to make the most of her time there, staying up late and refusing to nap during the day.

Happy Girl

The view from our bedroom window.  Pretty hard to beat!

 "Hello Grandpa."

Claire and Grandpa during one of their morning chats.

Claire taking a bath in the big person tub.  It was all a little overwhelming!

 I'm vogue-ing.

I love this series of pictures.
Claire was at her happiest laying on her green blanket by the window and talking to someone.

Cute T-shirt.

All dressed up for date night.
After a yummy dinner in town we had drinks and watched the sunset at "The Del."

Claire and Daddy at the Coronado Flower Show.  Claire got lots of attention in her new sun hat.

Enjoying the sunshine!

Taking a very rare daytime nap on the couch.  She woke up minutes after I took this.

Good family pic.

Gamma Comes for a Visit

Robert went on a boys golfing trip so Gamma braved our Wyoming "spring" (aka blizzards for 5 days straight) to spend some time - and lend some help - with Claire and I.

She took lots of great pictures of Claire.

It was great because Gamma was able to get pictures of Claire and Mommy - a rarity.

...and one of Claire and Daddy before he left.

Here is a picture of Gamma bouncing Claire on the exercise ball - the best (and sometimes only) way to get her to go to sleep.

Another new favorite of the peanut's... watching TV.  Her favorites, Glee and American Idol - she loves the music.  Uh oh, we're starting bad habits early.

We had such a great time during Gamma's visit.  Thanks Mom for making the trek out to Wyoming to spend time with us!
